Die Kalenderanwendung von Apple verbessert sich schnell und iOS 18.3 bietet einen neuen Vorteil.

The Apple Calendar app has been available on the iPhone since its beginning and is rarely changed. But in recent months, the Calendar has been equipped with some appealing improvements. And now iOS 18.3 adds a feature that provides another reason to use the app.
Calendar received several rare upgrades in iOS 18
Apple's 'strategy' with the Calendar app has always seemed somewhat confusing to me.
The company knows that many iPhone users have been lured away from alternative apps like Google Calendar and even native offerings like Fantastical.
Despite valuable competition, however, the company has largely left the Calendar application unchanged for many years.
But this has changed.
iOS 18 began with some of the largest changes in the Calendar that I can recall.
And to be honest, they are not very large—yet they are significant for a Calendar app.

One of the largest improvements was the integration of reminders into the app. You can now create, edit, and display reminders by logging into Calendar.
It is a valuable addition, although it is somewhat limited—I would love to be able to activate only certain reminder lists, but currently, you must either enable all or none.
In addition, iOS 18 also introduced:
- An updated design with several improvements to font and user interface
- And a new month view that shows your event details
Overall, the updates from iOS 18 for an app that Apple rarely pays attention to are a very welcome surprise.
And exactly this week, a small addition in iOS 18.3 adds another reason to use the integrated Calendar app.
iOS 18.3 offers a small enhancement for users of the Calendar app.
I own an iPhone 16 model with camera control, and iOS 18.3 offers Apple's Calendar app a new advantage.
Long-pressing on the Camera button opens Visual Intelligence, a recently added function that turns your iPhone camera into an AI-powered tool.
With Visual Intelligence, you can retrieve information about everything your camera sees and even respond to it in some cases.

iOS 18.3 adds a nice feature for Calendar app users.
Use Visual Intelligence to direct your iPhone at a brochure, poster, or other sign that contains a calendar event, and iOS 18.3 will suggest adding the event from the Calendar app.
It is an easy and faster way to integrate real information into your digital calendar.
iOS allows you to change standard applications in various categories, but the Calendar is an exception.
This means that the new Visual Intelligence feature will only work with Apple's Calendar application.
It is a relatively small enhancement field, but it also provides another new basis to stay with the built-in Calendar.
