Apple Pay bietet nun 'zahlen aufs Laufwerk' mit Synchrony.

In the summer, Apple announced a sudden pause of Apple Pay Later. Since then, Apple has enabled support for several third-party “pay in full” alternatives. The latest addition to Apple Pay: Synchrony.

Update: Aaron Perris, who first noticed that Synchrony was added by Apple, now realizes that all references to the provider have been removed from Apple's support document. As Perris notes, "It seems someone published the support document too early."

Apple Pay Late Payment Offers Three Different Options

Apple Pay previously offered two different installment payment options:

• Confirm
• Klarna

But as reported by MacRumors today, Apple has enabled support for a third provider.

Synchrony was added to the list of 'Installment payments' providers in the USA.

This means that you can split certain Apple Pay orders into multiple installments, similar to what was offered with Apple Pay Later.

Apple describes this function as follows, with an important qualifier:

You can pay with installment payment and rewards if you pay for your online order or in the App Store using accepted debit and credit cards with Apple Pay.

Some cards from participating banks may not support these functions. Contact your bank for more information.
