This is because AirPods have no type of secondary application whose functionality is directly integrated into the operating system. The Apple Watch does have a Watch app on the phone that is installed by default and not included in the App Store rankings or trend metrics.

Visibility on Vision Pro is equally unattainable as with other VR devices, although we wouldn't expect Apple's $3,500 headset to be an ideal gift idea for most budgets. In contrast, the Meta Quest series is relatively affordable and accessible to all age groups, with a library of exciting games that can be played by the whole family on Christmas Day.

It is reported that Apple is researching a partnership with Sony to support the PSVR controller for Vision Pro, which is intended to attract more VR games to its visionOS platform. However, consumer demand is likely to remain low until significantly cheaper versions of the headset enter the market.

Naturally, Apple doesn't need to depend on the Vision Pro for its financial success. Apple will officially report its holiday sales figures during its quarterly earnings call in January.
