Mozilla Thunderbird 135 ist veröffentlicht mit XZ-Verpackung für Linux-Binärdateien.

The open-source email, calendar, messaging, chat, and contacts client Mozilla Thunderbird 135 was released today alongside the web browser Mozilla Firefox 135 with various new features and many bug fixes.
Just one week after the release of Mozilla Thunderbird 134, version 135 is the first to use XZ archives for Linux binaries, similar to what Mozilla did with the Firefox 135 release. This change results in faster unpacking, smaller file sizes when downloading, and better integration with modern distributions.
Furthermore, Mozilla Thunderbird 135 supports specifying a `cookieStoreId` when creating a room, ignoring unsupported sub-keys/signatures when importing compliant OpenPGP keys, and using the same OAuth2 code for address books and calendars from CardDAV as for email.
This version sets the "Show Missing Reminders" preference to false by default, updates the `browser.messages.listAttachments()` function to return attachment headers, improves various user interface and user experience elements, and fixes at least 12 security vulnerabilities, as detailed here.
Additionally, Thunderbird 135 resolves several bugs and issues to enhance aspects like folder compression, the "Restart" button in the "About" dialog, POP3 support, the "Search Online" checkbox, keyboard navigation, the message list, forwarding/editing S/MIME drafts/templates, the sorting order in the search messages panel, the reply window, spell checking, the context menu, account setup, the address book, logging, calendar entries, CalDAV support, and more.
For more details about the changes in Thunderbird 135, refer to the release notes, which you can download now from the official website by clicking on "Thunderbird Version" in the "Release" section. When using the official binaries, you can update directly from the "About Mozilla Thunderbird" dialog.
