A new app called "People" is soon to be available for the iPhone, and it should look appealing. Similar to Cardhop and other alternatives to contact apps, People aims to modernize your address book with important contextual information.

I have developed a product that is suitable for people who frequently meet many people professionally or otherwise but struggle to remember all names. If you are like me, maybe you have resorted to notes—perhaps not the best solution.
I created something to help and improve your organization of contacts and everyone in your life.
The app has a beautiful product page that tells more about it. You can sign up for the public beta test before it becomes available next weekend.
