This new Vision Pro cover is ugly, but also kind of genius.

Today, dbrand in collaboration with Kyle Goodrich launched a new protective cover for the Apple Vision Pro called "Aperture". The accessory serves a practical purpose: it protects the front display of the Vision Pro without obstructing Apple's numerous cameras and sensors.
dbrand has a good reason for the design of the cover for the Vision Pro.
Apple's Vision Pro comes with several accessories, including a protective cover for the front display.
The problem is that this case is only meant to be used when the Vision Pro is not in use.
It works well to keep the outer display of the Vision Pro clean when not in use, but if you actually want to use the spatial computer, you have to remove this protective cover.
But with dbrand's new Aperture accessory, you can protect the front screen while still using Vision Pro.
You might even trigger trypophobia in a partner or child. Especially when combined with EyeSight.

Last year, Kyle Goodrich posted on X about a custom front plate he built for the Vision Pro with this same basic design. There was a lot of online interest in it, so he and dbrand teamed up to turn it into a full-fledged product.
The Aperture is made of polyurethane and was carefully designed not to cover any single sensor of the Vision Pro.
It's available in orange and the less intimidating black variant for $49 on dbrand's website.
You can also get a similarly designed Vision Pro battery mount in a combo deal for $69.
