The funny video game studio Mythic Quest returns today for the fourth season on Apple TV+. The comedy stars Rob McElhenney as Ian, a renowned game producer, and his team members as they try to stay relevant in the modern gaming market.

Mythic Adventures first aired in February 2020, making it one of Apple's longest-running comedies. Whether a fifth season renewal will be confirmed is currently unclear, but the service is almost ready to start a spin-off series and has already started promotions.

The spin-off project is humorously named Side Quest. If you are currently watching Mythic Quest on Apple TV+, an advertisement for Side Quest will run in the app. The trailer will soon be available on YouTube.

Side Quest expands the world of Mythic Quest with a four-part anthology mode featuring less humorous and more dramatic stories. It shows the impact of games on those who play them. It builds on the success of standalone episodes from Mythic Quest like "A Dark Quiet Death" and "Backstory," which were among the most critically acclaimed elements of the show.

Side Quest debuts on March 26th, with all four episodes released on that day.

At the same time, the fourth season of Mythic Quest begins today with the first two episodes. The remaining season will be released weekly, with the final episode on March 26th. This means fans of the series can watch Side Quest before the final episode of Mythic Quest.
