The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, joined a chorus of tech executives from the Great Technology giving significant donations to President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration parade. The information came via an Axios scoop as we approach Trump's inauguration on January 20th.

Cook will "personally" donate $1 million to Trump's inaugural committee, according to the report. Last month, Cook visited Mar-a-Lago in Florida for a meeting with Trump. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, was also spotted at the dinner table with Trump and Cook.

The CEO of Meta, Marc Zuckerberg, came to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Trump in late November. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, met with Trump in December. Trump also had meetings with Jeff Bezos and other high-profile executives in the tech industry and beyond.

Companies like Meta, Amazon, and Uber donated $1 million to Trump's inauguration fund. Sam Altman from OpenAI also made a $1 million donation. Outside of Silicon Valley, companies such as Ford, Toyota, GM, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Coinbase, and others have also contributed millions to Trump's inauguration fund.

Cook met and received praise from Trump multiple times during his first term, and other tech executives are reported to be trying to implement this strategy during Trump's second term. In October, Cook spoke with Trump about Apple's continuous conflicts in Europe. Trump promised to Cook that he would not let the EU "abuse" American companies if he were elected.

Meta questioned its political team this week before Trump took power later this month. Nick Clegg stepped down as Meta's global head of politics after six years, with Joel Kaplan taking his place. Kaplan worked under President George W. Bush and is linked to Trump as well as the next vice president, JD Vance.
