The Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be available soon. It should have satellite connectivity, mobile 5G connection, and high blood pressure detection. But what could convince me are not the hardware specifications, and it's even something completely new.

Ultra-exclusive watch frames are a big draw

Last autumn, Apple Watch Series 10 arrived with an as large as the Ultra screen— but for almost half the price.

I bought the series 10 and wore it happily every day since.

But there is a major missing point that has been disappointing: the absence of watch frames benefiting from its wide display.

The Apple Watch Ultra offers two such faces:

• Modular Ultra
• Guideur

The previous face is particularly of interest to me.

Modular Ultra allows you to configure seven complications, as well as six options for customizing the way the time is displayed, and even a special area around the edges to show more data.

This is the face I want on my series 10, but that I can't get.

This is the face that could convince me to switch to the Apple Watch Ultra 3 this year.

Before arriving there, let me share my reasons for buying the series 10.

The Apple Watch Series 10 generated enthusiasm

When Apple presented its new range of watches in September, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 was notably absent.

Apple did not release a new Ultra model, but simply added a black color option to the existing Ultra 2 model.

As the Ultra 2 black is beautiful, I was looking for a new bracelet and buying a model from last year was not in my plans.

If the Apple Watch Series 10 had been a minor update, I might have stayed with my current bracelet. But for me, the main attraction of the Ultra 3 will be its Modular Ultra feature.

Watch faces are the heart of watchOS. Your watch face is more important than your iPhone Home screen.

In most cases, the main interactions with the watch involve the watch face.

Check the time, widgets, and launch applications—all this is done from the watch face.
