Third-Party Telegram Verification

Since organizations often have multiple Telegram accounts, the messaging app now allows already verified organizations to perform their own verification for other accounts they use.

Third-party verified accounts will have a new logo next to their names instead of a blue checkmark.

This decentralized platform for additional verification will help prevent fraud and reduce false information - with a proactive unique solution that establishes a new security standard for social platforms, Telegram announced in a blog post.

People or organizations who wish to be authenticated must first undergo verification and submit a request to become qualified to receive the verified badge. Telegram has announced that entities can use its API Bot to assign or remove verification.
