Why iOS 18.3 marks a big moment for Apple's Intelligence

Apple's Intelligence is activated by default in iOS 18.3

Apple has decided that the time has come to activate by default Apple's Intelligence on all compatible devices with iOS 18.3.

The company's AI features were deployed for the first time in iOS 18.1 in October, then benefited from important updates in December with iOS 18.2.

Until now, AI was still an explicit choice. You had to activate it explicitly.

Today, Apple takes the courageous decision to activate AI for everyone.

The timing is particularly significant due to another change in Apple's Intelligence in iOS 18.3.

iOS 18.3 will temporarily disable an AI feature

However, for now, the only function that has so far been a source of controversy for Apple Intelligence will be temporarily reduced in size.
