According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple plans to release iOS 18.4 in April. Apple has not yet launched the beta cycle for iOS 18.4, but it is likely that we can expect some news with iOS 18.4.

Siri Major Updates

Apple may introduce three major updates to Siri with iOS 18.4 this fall, bringing the assistant into the era of Apple Intelligence. These three updates include:

• Personal Context
• Screen Knowledge
• Ability to access applications

With these capabilities, Siri will understand you better, your context, and act on your behalf.

Additional Languages with Apple Intelligence

When iOS 18.2 was released, Apple announced that Apple Intelligence would support certain additional languages in April 2025 and beyond. Although Apple has not been clear about which ones will be launched, they have named the languages they wish to support throughout 2025:

In April, a software update will provide extended linguistic support, with more languages added throughout the year. Chinese, English (India), English (Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and other languages will be supported.

New Emojis

A few years ago, Apple added support for new emojis in its fall iOS updates, and this trend is very likely to continue. The Unicode Consortium has already revealed the new emojis, it just remains for Apple to implement them. The new emojis of the year include:

• digital fingerprint
• face with wrinkles under eyes
• arpeggio
• yam root
• leafless tree
• ache
• palette
