The scheduled thread posts are now accessible to all, after the company first deployed this feature to a small number of users a month ago. Additionally, some users in certain countries can now highlight and annotate parts of other users' posts when they share them...

Instagram's header, Adam Mosseri, announced this.

Recent updates for Some Threads today to help you manage your presence on the app: You can now schedule posts on Threads and individual metrics for posts are being deployed in Key Metrics.

We also add the ability to 'mark' a message that you share to add your creative interpretation, starting with some countries with more to come soon. More to come soon.

The responses to the message were mainly outdated. Some have objections to the layout feature.

“Layout as in people being able to modify and draw on top of your artwork? ??? NO thank you. It's already difficult enough with people who steal art.”

Formatting an article seems terribly unpleasant for artists and other creatives.

Many artists struggle with their work and content stolen/copied. Meta would be nothing if they implement this.

Although Engadget reports that users can sign up for the opt-out option.

A Threads representative confirms that this feature will work similarly to the posts mentioned, in the sense that the original user is notified if someone chooses to highlight their post. You can also use the "who can respond and cite" setting to disable highlights on your own posts.

Others say these are not the features people have asked for.

Just to remind you that no one has asked for this and if you look a little closer, you can find exactly what people want from the platform.

These updates ARE NOT what most of us wanted or asked for. Who manages scheduled posts? We asked for chronological presentation, better algorithm, and no bots, but here we are with nothing but scheduling, which is the best.

There are also comments on Meta's decision to cancel fact-checking verification and allow hate speech on company platforms.

Do you have the opportunity to schedule a fact check?

You can now easily plan hostile messages for any LGBTQ+ person with Threads!
