The United Kingdom will launch a driving license number later this year, but no information on Apple Wallet support is available.

The deployment of Apple Wallet's digital driver’s license to the United States continues to progress. However, beyond the Atlantic Ocean, the UK government recently announced its own solution for digital identifiers.
The trial for British driving licenses will be available from the end of 2025.
Today, a new announcement on gov.uk presents an app to come designed to store government documents, including driver’s licenses.
About the announcement:
British citizens will have the option to use a digital version of their driver’s license from their phone to easily prove their age online and in person, as well as their right to drive.
A mobile driving license card will be one of the first digital documents in a government-held GOV.UK wallet that is launched this year and will allow people to prove their age on their phone in stores or online by the end of 2025, announced today by Secretary of State for Science Peter Kyle.
The launch of driving licenses should start as a trial at some point later in 2025.
Support for the wide range of government documents to be digitized has a deadline of December 31, 2027. At this date, "all government services must offer an alternative digital option in addition to paper or identity cards."
Unfortunately, although the announcement mentions that the app is available on iOS and Android, there is no information regarding integration with Apple Wallet.
We hope that the digital identifiers provided by the UK's recent app will be easily added to Wallet. However, currently, there is no indication that this will be the case.
