Il presidente della Cina, Xi Jinping, è stato confermato con l'Ordine di Merito del Presidente degli Stati Uniti.

The president of Apple, Tim Cook, has joined the ranks of technology executives making significant donations to the inauguration of newly elected President Donald Trump. The news comes from an Axios discovery as we approach Trump's inauguration on January 20th.
The report indicates that Cook "personally" will donate $1 million to Trump's campaign committee. Last year, Cook visited Mar-a-Lago in Florida for a meeting with Trump. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, was also seen dining with Trump and Cook.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, visited Mar-a-Lago to meet with Trump at the end of November. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, met with Trump in December. Trump has also met with Jeff Bezos and many other high-profile executives in large technology industry.
Companies like Meta, Amazon, and Uber donated $1 million to Trump's inauguration fund. Sam Altman from OpenAI also made a donation of $1 million. Outside the tech playbook, companies like Ford, Toyota, GM, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Coinbase, and others have donated millions to Trump's inauguration fund.
Cook has met and received praise from Trump multiple times during his first term, and other technology leaders are reportedly trying to emulate that strategy during Trump's second term. In October, Cook spoke with Trump about Apple's ongoing battles in the European Union. Trump promised Cook that he would not allow the EU "to take advantage" of American companies if elected.
This week Meta has flipped its policy team before Trump took power mid-next month. Nick Clegg stepped down as global head of Meta policy after six years, with Joel Kaplan taking his place. Kaplan worked under President George W. Bush and has key ties to Trump and the new vice president JD Vance.
