Apple Pay funding for Synchrony available, rewards support to follow soon.

The previous week it was discovered that Apple had added Synchrony to the list of payment providers "Pay over time" supported—but in advance, as the mention was later revoked. However, today, the financing of Synchrony is officially launched for users of Apple Pay, with additional support that will arrive later.
Payment over time is now available with Synchrony, but updates will arrive later.
Today, in a press release, Synchrony announced its new partnership with Apple Pay. And importantly, the option to pay installments is limited to some selected cardholders.
Here are the details:
A Mastercard Synchrony Preferred, Synchrony Plus World or Synchrony Premier World holder can now choose to pay under standard credit card terms or use a promotional offer that includes fixed monthly payments… Promotional offers are available only to qualified cardholders.
Qualified users should now see the 'Pay later' option for Synchrony during a qualifying purchase with Apple Pay.
This can be done by changing the payment method within the Apple Pay checkout page. So, you will be able to see exactly the terms of the payment plan.
In addition, Synchrony has shared two updates that will arrive later this year:
Synchrony intends to extend the ability to pay for qualifying purchases with fixed monthly payments to more users of Apple Pay in their linked card wallets.
This year, consumers can also view and redeem rewards associated with cards issued by Synchrony during the online checkout process and within the app on iPhone and iPad with Apple Pay, offering a more flexible and choice checkout experience.
The support to directly view and use rewards within the Apple Pay interface will be a particularly nice feature when it arrives.
Do you use the 'Pay later' options of Apple Pay? Are you happy to see the addition of Synchrony's support? Let us know in the comments.
