Il ritorno di "Facebook OG" è una grande priorità per Meta quest'anno.

Yesterday, Meta released its quarterly results and, while sharing updates on Threads, Instagram, and yes, the metaverse, CEO Mark Zuckerberg outlined a new interesting priority for this year: returning to the "original Facebook."
Zuckerberg has identified "original Facebook" as an area of focus for the year.
Facebook is, by any reasonable measure, a massive success for Meta. It has billions of active users — billions.
However, in today's fragmented social media ecosystem, Facebook is an afterthought for many.
But it seems Zuckerberg intends to change that this year.
During Meta's earnings call presentation, the CEO explained:
Facebook is used by over 3 billion monthly active users and we're focused on growing its cultural influence. I'm excited to return this year to some original aspects of Facebook.
This comment about "OG [original] Facebook" was initially made without further details. But later in the call, the CEO was asked to share more.
According to Meta's official transcript, he explained:
I think there are many opportunities to make it much more culturally influential than it is today. And I think that's a fun and interesting goal that will lead product development in interesting directions that we maybe haven't focused on with the same attention in recent years.
I don't think I have anything more specific about this, other than it will be one of my areas of focus for this year. I believe it's an area of investment and something I'll spend time on.

Overall, I'm really excited to do some interesting things here... as we start rolling out these new things... I think some of these will go back to the way Facebook was originally used a while ago. So I think it'll be fun.
Zuckerberg even hinted that some changes might mean sacrificing short-term financial gains to improve the product. He said, "It could mean that in the short term, we make some compromises to focus on some areas of the product of what we're doing before simply maximizing business results in the short term."
The most popular comment from BCGeigerMi piace a 10 people I deactivated my Facebook account over a decade ago. I deleted all my Instagram posts several years ago. Last year, I finally realized there was nothing there that I wanted to follow and I closed that account too. I've never used WhatsApp and never will. Meta doesn't produce anything that interests me to try, and the fact that Zuck is trying to go back to a period when it felt "cool" won't change that. On a larger scale, I know my social media presence is dwindling. I rarely post on the two accounts I still have, and one of those I'm thinking about closing. It was fun while it lasted, but it's not real social connection. See all comments
I remember the days of old "Facebook," and they were really fun. Over the years, though, Facebook has become much less appealing to me personally.
Some attribute Facebook's cultural decline to it no longer being "cool"—a change blamed on parents and grandparents joining, perhaps. But for me, I stopped using Facebook because the product itself seemed to be declining. To increase engagement, my Facebook feed started showing all sorts of information I wasn't interested in—for example, every random "like" made by one of my friends. Originally, Facebook was about user-generated content from people I cared about.
I would love to see the return of original Facebook, so I'm curious to see what Meta has in store.
Are you interested in seeing “OG Facebook” come back in some form? How would you imagine it?
