La Steam Deck è stata trasformata in un "blocco di tela senza schermo Steam Brick".

The portable handheld market has experienced rapid growth with the popularity of the Steam Deck. But what if you had created a portable device... but not one for your hand? Someone actually did, and it's probably the most cursed thing I've seen recently.
A well-known engineer called " procrastinator-pro" managed to transform the popular Steam Deck from Valve, a PC-based gaming laptop, into a very compact desktop computer. He called it "Steam Brick". The original Steam Deck is a bit bulky, but you can attribute this to it being a portable computer for playing games on the go. The goal was to make it even more compact, but the sacrifices involved everything that truly made it portable. So, basically, it's a Steam Deck without the screen and integrated controls. This, in essence, transforms the device into a small desktop PC that you need to connect to a monitor and controller.
procrastinator-proThe result is a device significantly smaller and lighter than the original Steam Deck version, measuring 193.5 x 126.5 x 21mm and weighing 474 grams. It's quite small at least. This makes the "Steam Brick" about 24% lighter and much more portable, easily fitting in a pocket without the need for a protective bag due to the absence of a delicate screen. However, this portability comes with a cost. You're losing exactly what makes the Steam Deck special, which is being able to play on the go. If you want a small gaming PC, there are many options that might be much better than this.
The person who created this advises that it's not an extension for those not used to technical challenges. The extension is truly impressive and involves cutting the aluminum frame of the Steam Deck and inserting the remaining components into a 3D-printed body.
