Apple has released the beta versions of macOS Sequoia 15.3 and visionOS 2.3.

Apple has just released new beta software for Mac and Vision Pro. macOS Sequoia 15.3 and visionOS 2.3 beta 3 are currently being distributed to users with developer accounts. Update: macOS 15.3 beta 3 is also now available to general beta testers a few hours after the developer release.

macOS 15.3 introduces Genmoji for Mac, but there are not many other new features.

Beta versions of software that Apple will release in the future have fewer new features compared to previous releases.

One new feature that should be noted with macOS 15.3 is the addition of Genmoji support.

Previously limited to iPhones and iPads, Genmoji is now available on Macs and integrated into message apps.

"After several beta versions, no other significant changes for Mac were found. Also, no major changes were found with visionOS 2.3."

The release of version 3 beta may change this.

"Updates will be made regarding any changes discovered during the release."

To install the latest update, open System Preferences/Applications and select 'Software Update' under the 'General' tab.

If you were running beta software before, the update to version 3 should be available immediately. Otherwise, ensure that 'Beta Updates' is turned on and select a developer seed if necessary.

These are likely to be beta versions that precede the public release. Last year, Apple's x.3 releases had very short beta cycles. If this pattern repeats, an RC (Release Candidate) beta version may appear soon.
