A large number of people in the United States and the United Kingdom cannot use ChatGPT, and OpenAI is performing correction work.

The AI chatbot ChatGPT, which is used by many users in the United States and the UK, has been down. Various errors such as gateway errors, login failures, and unreadable conversations have been reported.

BBC News initially reported about the problems in the UK.

According to Downdetector (a tool for tracking website outages), OpenAI's AI chatbot has reported that more than 10,000 people are experiencing this issue in the UK on Thursday.

If users try to use it, they encounter a message saying "The web server reported a bad gateway error."

However, others have said that the problem has affected many US users as well.

OpenAI claims to know the reason for the issue and is developing a fix.

"We are currently working to identify the root cause of this issue and implement a fix."
