Del's XPS Laptops Restart: Introducing Dell Precision 13 and 14 Premiu
Dell has announced the new Dell Precision 13 Premium and Precision 14 Premium notebooks. This is a completely new product line, similar to last year's Dell XPS notebook series and Apple's MacBook Pro series.

These notebooks focus on lightweight and stylish designs while incorporating the latest AI features. They are equipped with Intel's latest processor, offering improvements in design and performance. Made from 90% recyclable magnesium, they are very lightweight, with the 13-inch model weighing 2.36 pounds (1.07 kilograms) and the 14-inch model weighing 2.52 pounds (1.14 kilograms).
The Dell Pro 13 and 14 Premium laptops come with an optional touchpad that includes built-in video conferencing controls, an 8MP + IR camera equipped with HDR technology to enhance video calls, and improved speaker placement for clearer audio. These laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors, which feature integrated AI capabilities with extended battery life.
The display has a 16:10 aspect ratio and supports up to QHD+ resolution. Additionally, there will be an option for a Tane OLED display for the 14-inch model later this year. Furthermore, the keyboard includes a special design to save battery life and mini-LED backlighting functionality.
The Dell Pro 13 and 14 Premium notebooks come with various security features such as TPM 2.0, Intel ME validation, and an optional hardware authentication package. Dell claims that these laptops are among the safest and most manageable commercial PCs on the market based on its own analysis and validation from Principled Technologies.
The Dell Pro 13 and 14 Premium notebooks differ not just by a single feature but through various combinations of features. However, we need to wait and see if competition from Apple increases. Nevertheless, these new laptops exist as part of a broader Dell ecosystem, allowing smaller features to work well with Dell monitors and accessories, and can be managed through the Dell Display and Peripherals Manager app.
