The GNU Linux-libre project has released and begun general use of the GNU Linux-libre 6.13 kernel, aimed at those seeking a degree of freedom of 100% and software freedom enthusiasts.

Based on the release of the latest Linux 6.13 kernel series, the GNU Linux-libre 6.13 kernel aims to clean up six new drivers that include rtw8812a, rtw8821a, bmi270, aw88081, ntp8835, and ntp8918, as well as various blob names included in different device tree (dts) files newly added or updated.

In this release, the deblocking of drivers such as wilc1000, rt1320, sh4-siu, ivpu, btnxpuart, adreno, r8169, and x86 touchscreen drivers has been updated, while cleanup logic for proprietary driver rtl8192e, rtl8712, vt6656, ti-st drivers has been removed. These drivers have already been removed from upstream.

Additional documentation for cs35l56 added after rc7 and not applicable blob installation recommendations for GNU Linux-libre have been adjusted.

Available binary packages for distribution-based on Debian (DEB) and Red Hat (RPM) can be downloaded from the Freesh project and RPM Freedom website, respectively. The GNU Linux-libre kernel can be installed almost in all GNU/Linux distributions along with or instead of the standard kernel.
