The Legend of Zelda series receives high praise and awaits players, but some find it unappealing due to inconsistent charm and lack of engaging storylines. Individual elements are fantastic, but the overall experience doesn't work for everyone. The Nintendo Switch release of Breath of the Wild marked a significant shift in the franchise's appeal, attracting new fans while leaving long-time enthusiasts indifferent.

Zelda series is highly acclaimed and awaited, but not everyone finds it captivating. I have tried various Zelda games, but my interest in titles like 'Link to the Past' and 'Wind Waker' has quickly waned. Each element of a Zelda game is individually fantastic, but some players (including me) find its charm unappealing. There are no great ads in any zone!

I have purchased almost all Zelda games, but I often stop streaming them after just a few hours. Despite the series being very popular, it doesn't work for me at all.

'Zelda's expectations are reality'

'I was not disappointed by the hyper-spectacular hype surrounding the Zelda series.'

Zelda games are likely to be praised by all publications. Readers express their love for the brand and avoid trying it at any point.

'I tried linking to the past, but it didn't end'

Mobile Games

'My first experience with a Zelda game was with 'Link to the Past.' I borrowed one from a friend and played it. The first few hours were enjoyable, but my interest quickly waned, and I returned to Final Fantasy and Diablo II. I thought it was a good game and felt that it was well-made. However, for some reason, it didn't hold my attention.

'My 3DS taught me a lot about Zelda'

'When I first got the 3DS, I tried playing other Zelda games. I bought it to play Fire Emblem: Awakening, which is still one of my favorite games.'

After getting the 3DS, I could play all kinds of Zelda games. Therefore, I purchased Game Boy Color titles as well. And I also purchased Ocarina of Time remake and A Link Between Worlds. It worked well at first, but I lost interest halfway through.

'I played 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' for the first time on Switch — it's still not over'

When Switch was released, I didn't seem genuinely interested in Zelda games. However, the only Switch available at the time came with Breath of the Wild. This game received excellent reviews, and everyone claimed that its gameplay style was entirely different from the Zelda series.

This was a game suitable for modern titles and open-world playstyle. So, I launched the game and played it quite a bit until the first Divine Beast appeared. After that, I had no more energy to play.

'If I thought I liked Zelda games, why don't I like them'

At this point, despite spending a lot of money on Zelda games with Nintendo, I can't explain why these titles remain special to many people. I might have considered that my childhood experience with NES and SNES titles was insufficient, but many others also start playing Zelda games from the 3D era.

Each part of a Zelda game is individually fantastic, but they may not be working together for me to feel captivated. Perhaps it's because the story doesn't hold me. However, if gameplay is fun, a good story isn't necessary.

I probably think this is ultimately my problem, as not everyone loves general blockbuster games. However, I learned that thinking about buying a new Zelda game on Switch 2 this time would be beneficial.
