Pawport, a technology company from Phoenix, announced an update to its smart pet door system at CES 2025. This update includes a two-door system and new accessories.

The original version was announced at CES 2024. The new model features an external companion door that works with the internal smart door. The doors are made of strong powder-coated steel and aluminum, with a double-locked door inside that includes a security alarm.

If you already have a pet door, you can add The Pawport Smart Pet Door to your home. However, the new Outdoor Pet Door and tunnel system are for new construction or renovation. This system must be installed by professionals in conjunction with smart pet doors. These two doors prevent intruders, pests, and cold air.

The Pawport system for pets uses a waterproof and lightweight smart collar. When the collar approaches and starts moving, the door opens automatically to prevent other animals from entering or leaving. The system can be managed using the Pawport app, which allows remote control, sleep time settings, schedule creation, voice command functions with Alexa, Siri, and Google, tracking of pet activity, sending entrance and exit notifications, and insights into travel time and overall activity levels.

The pet door operates on an optional rechargeable battery and continues to function even if the power supply is cut off, without requiring WiFi or AC power. You can also extend the battery life using a USB-C cable, optional hardwired kit, or solar panels. The built-in LED lights can be managed through the app, allowing you to change colors and brightness levels and set on/off schedules.

The company offers 13 finishes in three collections: Standard, Designer, and Signature Charger. Each series has different prices and styles available. The Standard series is the most affordable option with a steel frame and painted plastic door. The Designer and Signature Charger series are built with stronger materials, featuring steel frames and durable aluminum doors for better safety.

The Design series offers wear-resistant finishes in neutral and bright colors, while the Signature Charger series has a texture reminiscent of natural wood, suitable for various home styles. Pawport and its accessories will be available from early 2025, with prices starting at $499 on their official website.
