YouTube TV is a good way to keep access to live TV in the cable cut era. Compared to services like DirecTV, it is relatively inexpensive. However, prices have been rising recently, and this is detracting from its appeal. At least, until other providers do the same thing. Google explains this price change to address the increase in the cost of the content provided by the platform, but the additional $10 monthly fee is the cost of a complete streaming service. This is very high, but it is consistent with previous price increases for subscriptions in this category. The price increase will be effective from January 13, 2025. If you haven't checked out YouTube TV yet, it is currently free for 10 days, and then $59.99 for each of the next three months. After that, the new $82.99 price will apply. With additional fees included, this $82.99 price will increase significantly. Saving money with a Spanish plan or a contract for specific channels is possible, but this could be a very limited experience. And, it is unlikely that you will save much. It is a sad fact that avoiding these price increases is becoming increasingly difficult. DirecTV and Dish also raised their prices this year, and I don't think this will be the last time. The only option is to pay the price or cancel.
