This is reportedly because Apple hopes that Vision Pro will be more suitable for games, considering that the current product is not doing so well. However, Gurman mentioned that a report has been received that future versions of visionOS will support third-party hand controllers, but no specific timeline has been provided.

Apple is making major efforts to support the third-party hand controller in the device's visionOS software, and is collaborating with the Samsung Group Corporation for this purpose.

Apple is also reportedly interested in collaborating with Sony to integrate the PlayStation VR2 controller, and they are reporting on the progress of this partnership.

Apple visited Sony at the beginning of the year to log their plans to support the PlayStation VR2 hand controller in Vision Pro. It was reported that this work has been ongoing for several months within Sony. Additionally, Apple is asking social developers if they can integrate platform support.
