Connecting an external camera to an iPad is now a smooth and convenient experience. With iOS 17 support, Teams users can easily take advantage of advanced video conferencing features with a USB-C connected camera. Currently, most USB-C webcams work on iPad if they also work with Mac. The external webcam can be used instead of the built-in camera, allowing for more flexible camera positioning and the use of high-resolution webcams. Microsoft also mentions that iPad Teams works with other camera-related features, such as Center Stage, which keeps people centered and focused when moving. The integration of an external webcam enhances this flexibility, allowing users to smoothly switch between built-in and external options as needed. Microsoft Teams is available for free on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Vision Pro. The app works on devices running iOS 16 or later, but external webcam support requires an iPad running iPadOS 17 or later with a USB-C port.
