Last year, Meta made significant improvements to the Threads timeline, allowing users to create custom feeds and choose which ones are displayed by default. Now, Meta has introduced a new feature for Threads: the ability to share custom feeds with others.

Sharing Custom Content Streams on Threads

As demonstrated by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Threads now offers an option for users to share their custom content sources with others. This means other Threads users can view and save the source you created containing all the accounts you've selected. For example, this is a great way to share a tech news content source with friends.

To make your custom feed public on your profile, click and hold the feed you created at the top of the Threads app, then click "Edit Feed." You'll see a "Public" toggle — simply turn it on. The process for sharing a custom feed with someone is very similar. But instead of using the toggle button, click the "Share Feed" button to send it as a link or direct message.

Custom subscriptions can be viewed in the top tab of the Threads app's main screen. You can pin shared subscriptions to your home screen.

Since the launch of custom subscription features last year, people have created content around popular interests such as sports, books, art, astronomy, fashion, poetry, and design, adding richness and diversity to the Threads platform and its communities and conversations.

The custom subscription sharing option is now available globally to all users. The Threads app is free to download from the App Store. Be sure to update the app to the latest version to access the new features.
